Play is important.
Games serve many purposes, such as training, education, recreation, and many times to relax. Electronic games are a passion of mine, and so is making sure all of my consoles will continue to function by performing maintenance... but I also want to be able to use the hardware I purchased as I see fit. I've modified many consoles so games can be preserved on HDDs or SSDs (all discs deteriorate quickly, it seems), and also so they can run homebrew apps and code.
